Robin Holtom trained at Chelsea School of Art where his tutor was Patrick Caulfield. He then studied Film and TV at the Royal College of Art. He was elected Associate of the Royal Society of British Sculptors in 1999. He worked for 12 years as an Art Therapist mainly in psychiatric hospitals before setting up his own summer school for Painting in Wales in 1983. He also taught at Verrocchio Art Centre in Tuscany each summer for many years. For the last 30 years he has been exhibiting widely.

Solo Exhibitions over the last 30 years include, St David’s Hall Cardiff, Aberystwyth Arts Centre, Ozten Zeki, Knightsbridge, Primrose Hill Gallery, Merriscourt Gallery Glouscester, Cowfold Gallery Sussex, Star Gallery Lewes, Ramsgate Library Gallery, Hastings Arts Forum etc.

Art Fairs where his work has been shown include the London Art Fair, twentieth Century Art Fair, Olympia At Fair, Chelsea Art Fair and frequent shows at the Affordable Art Fair.
